International Conference "Drug related harm reduction: where are we going?"

Drug, Tobacco and Alcohol Department has the great pleasure to invite you to the International Conference "Drug related harm reduction: where are we going?" which will take place on 1 December, 2021. The conference will be virtual only.

The conference is great opportunity to discuss the implementation and effectiveness of harm reduction programs in Lithuania, to consider their development (taking into account the scientific basis, the established principles of equality and the experience of other countries) and to hold an open dialogue on the future needs.

This event is for representatives of low-threshold offices, health care institutions implementing harm reduction programs, policy makers, representatives of the penitentiary sector, non-governmental organizations.

The conference will be open to one of three sessions:

  • Harm reduction in prisons;
  • Alternatives to sanctions and alternative sanctions;
  • Best practices.

Simultaneous translation from Lithuanian into English is planned during the conference.

Conference participants require pre-registration by clicking here. Once the maximum number of participants is reached, registration will be suspended.
