Drug, Tobacco and Alcohol Control Department’s specialists participate in the 4th International conference ‘Tackling drug use at the local level

On October 25-46 4th International conference ‘Tackling drug use at the local level, organized by Poland’s ‘Reitox’ focal point, is being held in Warsaw. Two representatives of the Drug, Tobacco and Alcohol Control Department are attending this conference.

Evelina Pridotkienė, Head of the Monitoring and Analysis Division (Lithuanian ‘Reitox’ focal point coordinator) presented situation of drug problem in Lithuania, challenges and achievements. Rūta Gedminienė, chief specialist of the Psychoactive Substance Use Prevention Coordination Division, presented results of the surveys conducted by our Department related to the COVID-19 pandemic - the well-being of college and university students and changes in their substance use during the COVID-19 pandemic, and substance use prevention in Lithuania’s workplaces during the pandemic.

Conference covers many different topics, such as European drug report, drug use prevention in Poland and Europe, ASAP (‘Professionalising the European Prevention Workforce on Prevention Science and analysing the European Prevention Systems’) project, new psychoactive substances and etc.
